OMV Serbia joined in to help the people of Serbia affected by floods

  • OMV donated fuel as emergency help
  • Food and drink, toiletries and clothes for babies also donated
  • Employees participated in the rescue and evacuation of the unfortunate people

OMV Serbia reacted during the last weekend to the latest developments and engaged in providing help to threatened people and rescuers in the floods occurred in Serbia. The company and its employees in many ways helped in order to overcome the effects of disaster. Fuel, food and drink, toiletries and clothes for the babies are donated. Some of the staff were involved in the rescue and evacuation of the unfortunate people to safety.

So far, the company has donated fuel as emergency assistance for the easing of the consequences caused by floods and letting all its resources on disposal of Headquarter for emergencies. Over the weekend workers at Belgrade OMV filling stations were making sandwiches, pastries and teas that are further distributed to crisis centers. Members of the Gendarmerie unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia, Serbian Army, who participated in the rescue, together with evacuated people from areas affected by catastrophic floods, are hosted with coffee, tea and juices.

On this occasion, General Manager of OMV Serbia Bozidar Rajic said: "OMV Serbia has always followed current events in Serbia and reacted to them accordingly. Thus we assisted the Belgrade City Hall on 2006 who was then helping floods victims. That is why this time there was no doubt that we will be involved in this action, as always when it is most needed."

The employees of OMV Serbia over the weekend organized to donate toiletries, clothing for babies and toys to local crisis centers. OMV filling stations Partners donated bottled water to Gendarmerie unit members, police and crisis staff and some of them participated in the rescue and evacuation of people affected by floods to safe locations.
